O’qishga kirishishim bilan kunlar tez o‘ta boshladi. 17 ga to‘ldim. Adaptatsiya jarayoni esa shahardan qishloqqa tushgan yangi uylik kelinnikidan ham cho‘zilib ketdi. Guruhimda sakkizta qiz va beshta bola edik. Bir oy bo‘lar-bo‘lmas, ikkitasi muddatidan oldin o‘qishdan ketishga majbur bo‘ldilar (досрочное отчисление). Olib kelgan 200 dollardan 100 qoldi. Stipendiyaga faqat ikki oydan keyin ilinishim bankka hujjatlarni topshirganimda ma’lum bo‘ldi. Demak, qolgan soqqani tejab ishlatib, amallab turish kerak edi. Mukkasiga tushib o‘qib yurgan kunlarimning birida "старшак"lar (4-kurs studentlari) "перваш"larni tungi soat 1-00 da belgilangan xonada hozir bo‘lishliklari haqida eshitdim. Bizning xonadan Botan, Yersh va men bordik. Bizdan tashqari yana beshtasi xonada armiyada safga turgandek turishardi. Yershni aftida "kirdyk!" deb yozilganday, Botanga esa baribir edi.
